Configuring Billing Protection and Rescanning

This guide details how to set up the monthly billing protection limit for your project within the Flame Shield dashboard and how to manually trigger a status rescan.

Setting Up Billing Protection

  1. Navigate to Billing Protection Setup:

    • Ensure you are on the main Dashboard for your project.
    • Locate the Setup Billing Protection card. This card contains the fields to set your desired monthly spending cap.

    2. Enter Spending Limit: * Find the input field labeled Monthly Spending Limit (GBP) (the currency may vary based on your account). * Enter the maximum amount you want to allow for spending per month. In the video, the user enters 5. * (Optional: The video briefly shows entering negative numbers, which are likely invalid inputs, before settling on a positive value.) * Note the Maximum allowed limit displayed below the input field. Your entered amount should not exceed this. 3. Activate Protection: * Click the Activate Billing Protection button below the input field. 4. Confirm Activation:

    • The card will momentarily display a Loading Billing Settings message.
    • Once processed, the card will update to show the active Billing Protection. It will display the set Monthly spending limit (e.g., £5) and provide buttons to Update Limit or Delete Alert.
    • A new Setup Notifications card may also appear, allowing you to configure email addresses for billing alerts.

Performing a Manual Rescan

  1. Locate Operational Card:

    • On the main Dashboard, find the Operational card. This card usually indicates if All checks are successful.

    2. Initiate Rescan: * Click the Re-scan button located within the Operational card. 3. Monitor Rescan Progress: * The Operational card will update to show a status like Checking Connection along with a loading indicator. It will display the message: Please wait while we verify the connection status. 4. Confirm Completion: * Once the rescan is complete and successful, the Operational card will revert to its previous state, typically showing All checks successful and making the Re-scan button available again.
